                                In 1912 a 1 metre gauge railway was opened from Palma to Soller on the Balearic Island of Mallorca.
                                This made the northwestern coast easily accessible from Palma compared to the journey before over the mountains.
                                This railway is still running using vintage railcars and electric locomotive.

                                This is a model of Automotor Electrico No. 2 at 1:87 scale. The track gauge of the model has been adjusted to sit on
                                 an 'N' gauge model rail line. The model is printed on six cards and an exploded assembly diagram.

            Aveling and Porter Tramway Locomotive

                            Aveling and Porter built traction engines but around 1865 they built engines for tramways. The drive was taken through gears
                            to a sprocketed chain and onto the two driving wheels. In order to balance the engine a water tank was situated at the front under
                            the smokebox.This is a 7mm scale model printed on six cards and an exploded assembly diagram.
